THE NEW SILK ROAD Fondazione Ugo Spirito e Renzo De Felice is pleased to invite you to the Conference “The building of an economic and cultural network from the Mediterranean to Central Asia. The new silk road”, that will take place at the Theater of the Italian Cultural Institute in Istanbul on January the 19th. The aim of the conference is to strengthen economic and cultural relationships between Italy and Turkey and to build (starting from these two countries) a wide network of Companies, Universities, Cultural institutes and Research Centers running from Mediterranean to Central Asia. The Conference is organized with the support of the Italian Embassy in Ankara and the Italian Institute of Culture in Istanbul. Representatives of DEİK, Eurosis consulting, Italian Confederation for the Craft Sector and Small and Medium Enterprise, Italian Trade Agency, Yapı Kredi, Tofaş, Turkonfed, Galatasaray University, University of L’Aquila and Roma Tre University will take part in the Conference. Some projects aimed to create the network in the following months will be discussed at the conference: 1) A cycle of workshop “Slow Thinking” to improve the knowledge of geopolitical changes, cultures interactions and human relationships that influence the global market; 2) Business and economic promotion along the countries of the “new silk road”; 3) The building of SMEs networks; 4) A new way to make business mixing territorial identity and cultural tradition; 5) Erasmus and internships programs both between Universities and between Universities and companies; 6) Realization of common databases for companies and for cultural institutes of the new silk road.
